Carved out the mud and clay at the mouth of the Raritan River, there lies a town called Sayreville NJ. A blue-collar community where working the day shift is fact and rock and roll is just another dream. From these humble beginnings John Walsh comes to make his mark on the New Jersey music scene.
Growing up entrenched in the legendary NJ music venues and the bands that called them home, John was easily exposed to the hard rocking sounds that sculpted the "NJ scene." From Springsteen, to Southside Johnny, to Jon Bon Jovi and more, influence and inspiration were all in reach. What started as "just screwing around" on the guitar at numerous house parties has become a "must see" show.
Armed with his acoustic guitar, John Walsh, gives those great rock 'n roll bar band songs new life in the local bars of Central Jersey. John takes a little from each of his influences, adds a twist of his own style, humor and sound to make each song feel like a long lost friend.
While John Walsh Wednesday; at the South River Pub is the gig that started it all, and continues to be a great tradition John has been playing various venues in addition to the Central Jersey Bar Scene. This past year John has played the Big Brother magazine Anti-X Games Party in Philadelphia as well as the New Brunswick Cooks festival celebrating the entertainment and restaurants of New Brunswick's redevelopment.
